How we collect and correct

What we read

EnergyInfluence reads what a fixed roster of people and organisations publish on six kinds of channel:

• X, through X's official paid interface.
• Bluesky, through its open interface.
• Newsrooms: the public press and news pages of companies and institutions.
• The official record: Hansard, the Federal Register, the Congressional Record, the European Commission press corner and their equivalents.
• Newsletters: what the publisher shows to everyone. For a paid newsletter that is the public preview only.
• Press headlines from the energy pages of major news organisations, taken from the publishers' own feeds and sitemaps and stored as headline, link and time only. We do not store or summarise the articles.

We read public pages only: never LinkedIn, private accounts, or anything behind a paywall or login. We read each source about once an hour at most. If a publisher asks us in writing to stop reading their site, we stop. Write to ross@fourfold.work.

How a line is made

An AI model reads the source text and writes one sentence: the single most useful claim, decision, number or position in it. The line is always a summary in our own words, never a quotation: software compares every line with its source and refuses one that repeats a run of the source's words. Automated rules and a second model check that the line is relevant and that a story is supported by its sources. Every line carries the name of the speaker, the date, and a link to the source.

The source is always the record. A line is a pointer to it, not a substitute for it.

Corrections

If a line is wrong, write to ross@fourfold.work with the link. We aim to reply within five working days, and within two if you are the person or organisation named. A line found to be wrong is corrected or withdrawn, and every correction is recorded with the date and the reason. The original capture behind a correction is kept privately so that the correction has a record.

Copyright

Summaries are our own words and every one links to its source. If you believe something here infringes your copyright, write to ross@fourfold.work with: the work concerned, the address of the line or page here, and your contact details. We will reply within five working days and will take the material down while we look at it if the complaint appears well founded.

What we keep

We keep the statements we capture as a lasting record. A line withdrawn as wrong stays withdrawn, and a person removed from the roster is removed from the product.
